The work consisted of the demolition and removal of an existing 26KV electrical substation, construction of a new 26 KV electrical substation built to PSE&G requirements; including two new standby generators; removal of the existing natural gas engine and installation of new electric motors on four existing pumps (horsepower ranging from 250 HP to 700HP); installation of two 5KV VFD’s and two 5KV RVAT motor starters ; asbestos abatement; instrumentation and electrical improvements; and HVAC, plumbing, architectural and security improvements.
