NJDOT contracted PKF-Mark III, Inc. to replace four fender systems in Cape May County as part of a Maintenance Division project. Construction began in Fall 2017 and is expected to complete in Fall 2018. The existing systems were removed in their entirety and are being replaced with specialty Fiberglass Reinforced Polymer Piles (FRPP) and Composite Lumber Wales to protect the existing bridge piers. Locations include RT 147 in North Wildwood over Beach Creek and Grassy Sound and RT 109 / RT 162 in the Cape May. All construction took place from the inter-coastal waterway (ICW).

Highlights: 10,000 LF of piling; 9,000 LF of composite lumber.
